It looks like Kris will add U.S. tour dates later this year following his scheduled stops in Europe. The Denver Post
is reporting Kris will play the Pikes Peak Center Aug. 1 and the Boulder Theater Aug. 2. He is also scheduled to play the
Stagecoach country music festival, which runs May 5-6 in Indio, Calif. Tickets for that are on sale now, with tickets for the Denver dates scheduled to go on sale March 16.

We've never heard reports of Tim McGraw being a Kris fan before here at Chapter33, but a quick glance at the track list for McGraw's upcoming CD might suggest he is. As you can see
here, the sixth song on his "Let it Go" CD is titled "Kristofferson." No word on what this song is, who wrote it or just what it's about, but it should be interesting to see how it plays out. Given the immense popularity of Mr. McGraw, it seems like it might spur some good publicity for Kris when the CD hits stores March 27.

Two new Kris recordings - including one new song - are included in a Target exclusive CD released Tuesday. "New Music from an Old Friend" features Kris, Carole King, Brian Wilson, Eric Clapton, Willie Nelson and seven others, singing new songs and new versions of old songs. Kris' contributions are "Sunday Morning Comin' Down" and "The Wonder."

UPDATE: I picked up this CD last night, and "The Wonder" is actually "The Wonder of You," a song that was recorded for Kris' late-1980s, unreleased "From Here To Forever" album. It's a new version, as is Sunday Morning Comin' Down, and the CD is certainly worth having for those, but no brand new songs, as I had thought.
The Ottawa Citizen reports Kris is the likely headliner at The 14th annual Ottawa Folk Festival from August 16-19 at Britannia Park. A confirmation is expected later in the spring, according to
a story in today's edition.

Two Kris films have been released on DVD so far in February with several more announced in the coming months. "Another Pair of Aces," the 1991 sequel to "Pair of Aces" starring Kris and Willie Neslon, and "Blume in Love," with Kris and George Segal, hit stores Feb. 6. "Fast Food Nation" is due out March 6, while "The Life and Hard Times of Guy Terrifico" is scheduled for a June 16 release.

Kris contributes a new song to the soundtrack for "Lucky You," a film starring Eric Bana and Drew Barrymore due out later this year. The CD, which includes Kris' "Ain't Got 'Em All," is set for an April 24 release, though that has been delayed two times already. It can be
preordered from Amazon.
The soundtrack also features a new song from Bob Dylan called "Huck's Tune."
Kris is winding down a short U.S. tour with dates in Florida and Georgia through next week. Then, he's off to Europe for a bit longer itinerary that runs through April 3.

Hello all,
It's been a little while since we last spoke - graduating from college, working a fellowship and then finding a job ate up too much of my time for updates, it seems. But, I'm now working in Evansville, Ind. and am planning on updating this site as much as possible. As past visitors might notice, the layout is in the process of being renovated. I've only just scratched the surface on that, though, so check back as I roll the old features out in new-and-improved form.
Until then, thanks for visiting and let me know (glesnick@gmail.com) if you have any suggestions, comments or questions.
